Hello everyone!
Ihope you enjoyed making our smoothies this week – I did and even made one at home for my family last night. I just used the fruit I already had in the fridge. It would be good if you could let us know about any smoothies you make and we could share yummy recipes here.
Happy smoothie making!

How fantastic that you have your very own blogs site.
Your smoothies smelt delicious. If I could choose I would have strawberries and bananas in my smoothie.
How many different types of fruit can you think of which you could use in a smoothie?

We think this blog is a good way to share ideas about smoothies. When we made smoothies in class, our favourite was Pink Surprise which was made with 5 cherries, 1 banana and 2 cups of plain yogurt. The cherries gave it a lovely pinky colour!

P.S. I was really excited when Mrs. Relph told me that Year 1 and 2 have their very own blogs site too!

Hello Year 1 and 2
All these blogs about Smoothies are making me thirsty.
Perhaps one of you might write out the recipe on the blog site so that I can make one at home

We seem to be having smoothie mania in year 1 and 2, but its great to have comments from some of the older children too. I made a scrummy smoothie last night – it had raspberries and mango with some ice cream – it was lovely and creamy! Natural yoghurt is probably healthier to use than ice cream, but you may need to add a spoonful of honey, depending on what sort of fruit you use. Remember that the favourite smoothie in our class had strawbwrry fromage frais in it

My mum and me made a ‘pink surprise’ smoothie and it was yacky so my mum checked with Mrs Warlow and we used natural yoghurt instead of fruity yoghurt. Next time it will be nice like it was at school. Thanks Mrs Warlow xx

I can’t wait to see the owls and birds of prey next week, an European Eagle Owl flew onto my arm at Center Parcs last year, I had a big glove on and the owl was really heavy, it flapped its massive wings and hit my mum in the eye, I laughed alot. I hope I can hold another owl next week !!

Wow Jazmine how exciting having an owl land on your arm. I held an owl at the Pioneer Centre when I was there with the year 6 and I agree they can be very heavy.
I think the bird man visit will be really interesting.

Well, I can’t believe that one week of the holiday has gone already! I was just reading through all your smoothie comments and think I am going to go and make myself one right now with some fruit I have left over from a party yesterday. I’ll let you know how it goes!
It was really exciting to meet all the Year 2 children coming into my class in September during the last week of school. I am really looking forward to getting to know you all and hope you enjoy our work about the Ancient Greeks! Enjoy the rest of your holiday and see you all in September!
